About the Guests
Wang Yin is a poet, photographer, art critic, and reporter. His photography has been exhibited in both China, as well as internationally. Yin has curated the international “Poetry Comes to the Museum” reading series at the Minsheng Museum in Shanghai since 2012. His 2015 collection, Limelight, won two of China’s top poetry prizes, and his poetry has been translated into French, Spanish, Japanese, and Polish, among others. The New York Review of Books published his A Summer Day in the Company of Ghosts in 2022.
Juan Arabia is a poet, translator and literary critic. He is the founder and director of the cultural and literary project Buenos Aires Poetry. Arabia is also the in-house literary critic for the Cultural Supplement of Diario Perfil and Revista Ñ of Diario Clarín. Among his most recent poetry titles are Desalojo de la Naturaleza [Eviction of Nature] (Buenos Aires Poetry, 2018), Hacia Carcassonne [Towards Carcassonne] (Pre-Textos, 2021), and Bulmenia (Buenos Aires Poetry, 2022).
About the Host
Patricio Ferrari is a polyglot poet, translator, and literary editor. Born in Merlo to Piemontesi and Calabresi immigrants who settled outside of Buenos Aires at the turn of the 20th century. As a translator and literary editor, he has published nearly 20 books with forthcoming translations such as The Complete Works of Álvaro de Campos by Fernando Pessoa (with Margaret Jull Costa; New Directions, 2023), and Habla terreña by Frank Stanford (with Graciela Guglielmone; Pre-Textos, 2023). Since 2017, he has resided in NYC, where he is currently at work on “Elsehere,” a multilingual poetry trilogy.
